Description
Tesla Mechanical Designs converts 3D scan data into editable CAD models built for manufacture. We work from laser scans, point clouds, STL and mesh files, photogrammetry data, or the physical part itself when no scan exists. The output is a feature-based model you can modify and machine from not a mesh you can only look at. 300+ projects delivered for manufacturers, OEMs, maintenance teams and engineering firms across manufacturing, industrial equipment, mining, marine, oil & gas and aerospace.
What we convert:
Point cloud to CAD from FARO, Leica, Trimble, Riegl and Creaform systems E57, RCP, RCS, XYZ, PTS, PTX
Mesh to CAD from STL, OBJ, PLY, WRL and FBX, rebuilt as feature-based SolidWorks, Creo or Inventor models
Obsolete and legacy parts recreated when OEM support has ended pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, crusher liners, wear plates, structural assemblies
No scan data at all? Models built from physical measurements, existing components, photographs, legacy drawings or inspection reports
Manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and BOMs supplied alongside the model, output as STEP, IGES, Parasolid, DWG, DXF or native CAD
Why Choose Us:
Our models are built for machining, fabrication and assembly, not for visualisation. We ask how the part gets made before we ask how it looks on screen. Manufacturers recovering lost CAD, OEMs modernising legacy products, maintenance teams reproducing wear components and engineering firms buying capacity all run through the same process. Every enquiry gets a reply from a senior mechanical design engineer within one business day. We work under NDA before any files are shared, and support companies across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.
